Health Care

  • FREE eye care this week for storm victims at the Belk Center in Tuscaloosa! Eye exams by optometrists and glasses provided by VSP! Tuesday, May 3rd from 9am-4pm, Wednesday, May 4th from 9am-1pm!
  • American Diabetes Association disbursing supplies to diabetics affected by tornado. Call 1-888-DIABETES or 205-870-5172 for more information.

Free Food

  • ATTN ARAB, AL–Call 912-310-3759  if you need ice.
  • Youngs Chapel Church in Hokes Bluff is accepting donations. They are taking anything. Water, food, clothing, shoes, etc. Victims can go there to get things they need. They are also working with Fords Valley Church to help out in that community as well.
  • SuperTarget Store behind University Mall is giving away cases of water, and they will have one bag of ice available on Sunday per individual.
  • Food/Water stations for victims (not volunteers) are located at Leland Shopping Center, Locklear Dodge off Greensboro, Fire College at Bruno’s Supermarket, Skyland Elementary.
  • American Red Cross is at Belk Activity Center and can provide assistance with food and shelter but victims not required to stay there to receive food.
  • Forest Lake Baptist Relief Center providing meals for volunteers;
  • Portable kitchen set up at Rosedale;
  • Impact Nation Church in Alberta (formerly New Testament) is providing clothing, water, flashlights and other items.
  • The Florida Baptist mobile kitchen is being set up at FBC Double Springs and will begin feeding the surrounding area on Sunday for as long as needed.

MEALS AVAILABLE APRIL 30 through MAY 3 -
*Leland Shopping Center in Alberta City is hosting Pizza Hut April 30 through May 3 who will be making personal pizzas for those affected by the tornado.
*Other food is also available at Leland Shopping Center.

 

Free Clothing

  • Tide Loads of Hope will offer clothes washing services at Bruno’s Supermarket on Tuesday, May 3. (Tuscaloosa)
  • Calhoun County emergency laundry network – contact Tina Right Horn, 256-239-5206

 

Free Storage

  • Mini Storage of Birmingham is offering three months of free storage for storm victims. They are located at 2626 1st Avenue South. Birmingham 35233. Contact Buddy Dillenberg at 205-251-7867 before coming. Must sign lease.

Showers

  • Jacksonville State is offering showers at Pete Mathews Coliseum for those that need them.
